Chain. It uses a tensioner so it is hard to tell how worn it is without
actual visual inspection.

It is a simple process to change the timing chain, just make sure you have
the correct tools. There Are 2 small star bolts at the bottom that secure the
front of the oil pan and they can be troublesome at times
