Recently I started hauling stuff around for my friends in the bed of
my truck.  Well my friends have told their friends and well.... you
know how it works.... I know move people on a part time basis and
making some good money at it.

My question is this..

Should I upgrade the engine and the transmission oils or would they be
fine?

geez, that's not even a load.
no, you don't have to do anything special, but an auxillary trans
cooler is never a bad idea.

I know that's not a load.  Just want to see what I can start putting
into this thing before I go balls out.

ROMOTE TRANS COOLER. A MUST for dang near ANY vehicle! Get a good big one.
Twice the size you think you would need.
HD fan clutch.
10W-40 or higher viscosity oil.
Load range E tires.
You can go full synthetic in place of ALL fluids whether hauling or not.
LOTS of benefits, and more money, but 2-3 times more miles between oil
changes.

Oh yea, get a 3/4T with a 6.5TD 4x4 and you will be farther ahead! Just
remember to run 15W-40 Rotella in it!

Agree with everything but the 10W40 oil.  Stick with recommended.  Very few
vehicles recommend 10W-40 anymore and most GM engines specifically prohibit
it.  Too much Viscosity Improver.

It should be fine IF you change the oil on schedule and use proper spec
oil.(Chec your owners manual)
