I will check the serial number to see if there is any match there.
As for the car fax, here in Ontario Canada, it is required by law for
the car to be sold with a ministry of transportation's sellers
package. This is the same as CarFax. I have looked through it and
noticed only that the guy I bought the car from had swapped the gauge
cluster. (this is another issue I am dealing with). The guy I bought
the car from has since disappeared.
Anyway, I will check the serial numbers and see if there is any match

That package means sh.t, I bought a van in Hamilton and later found out
that it had almost twice the mileage on it than it was sold to me with,
I also found out that the guy I bought it from was the 4th owner and not
the 2nd one like the MTO's package said he was. That package has noting
in it to protect the consumer, there is nothing stating how many miles
is on the vehicle or if it has been wrecked or anything like that, all
it is there to do is to tell you this is what the vehicle is worth
according to the government and this is what you are going to pay tax
on, they could care less that you actually paid half what they say it is
worth, hell try going to your insurance company and telling them when
the thing gets totaled that it is worth what the package says it is.
Also it does not matter what a seller does to the car in the way of
rolling back the odometer or anything like that. I contacted the
Niagara Regional Police, they took the info and contacted the Hamilton
Police who I also contacted, I also contacted the OPP and RCMP about
this and they didn't care, hell the guy even forged the owners name that
was on the MOT package on the deposit and bill of sale I received, it
didn't matter to any of those agencies.

Atleast I am not the only one that got the run around from everyone I
called regarding this. In short, I was told that because this was a
private sale, and not through a dealer, I am pritty much F$&ked.
I drove by where the guy lived and where I picked the car up, about a
month later, and it was for rent. (totally emptied). I am really
begining to wonder if this was a chop shop deal. Wouldn't make much
sense to waste time on a 95 Neon, but that is the way it is begining
to look.

The best thing is the dealers don't have to supply this package to you
as they are a dealer and dealers won't lie to you or overcharge you or
heaven forbid sell it to you for less than the package says it is worth.
