Changed oil on 300M -- put in 1/2 quart too much...Will this be a problem?
Thanks in advance..

My dealer does it routinely. I've given up on bitching to them about it.
Are you judging by the dipstick or did you actually measure it out wrong. I
ask because if the driveway or garage floor is pitched the dip stick will be
off. I doubt that small amount will make a difference though some people
will argue foaming will decrease lubrication.

Its of absolutely no concern. Today's oils have an anti-foam additive that
makes foaming virtually impossible. You can prove this fact to yourself by
placing a cupful of Valvoline 10W-30 in your wife's blender. Five minute's
running in the machine will prove my point to the dissatisfaction of the
old lady.
Be advised if you overfill the crankcase, you will incurr larger than
normal friction losses due to churning and higher than normal oil
consumption due to splash on cylinder walls.

IF you're talking about the silly thing that says oil capacity 4.5 qts. and
you put in 5 I'm wondering just why they do that. On every mini van I
have/had with the 3.3, 3.8 family if I put 4.5 in and look at the stick it's
always 1/2 qt. low. I always use 5 myself and have never had a problem.
