Could I use these rims/tires?

I am looking at a used pair of RIMS with tires mounted for my 300M.

According to my calculations the diameter of the setup would be roughly 1.5"
less/shorter.

Would that cause a problem going over large bumps? Is there a possibility
that the tires would rub against the top of the wheel well?

Thanks in advance.

You should post this on the 300M Club forums - they discuss this kind of
thing all the time.  I'm not into lowering, but I know they put in
lowering kits that lower the car an inch or more, so your lowering yours
by 3/4" with smaller diameter tires should not be a problem.

The front air dam sits pretty low - some people complain about it
scraping at stock heights on moderate dips, so either remove it or be
prepared for it to scrape on dips.

Why would a smaller diameter tire rub the top of the wheel well?  A
smaller diameter tire will give even more vertical clearance to the
wheel well.  Make sure the offset isn't going to be a problem.

DO NOT REMOVE IT!  EVER!  Its part of the engine cooling!  The damn creates
a LOW PRESSURE area and "sucks" air down from the HOT engine bay!!

Back to the Q- if your height is 1.5" shorter, your speedo and odometer will
be off considerably- close to 10%, from stock.  You will either have to get
the Scan tool to reprogram the new setup, or live with your speedo saying
that you are going faster than you really are.

That may be in theory, but in reality it may not be a problem - I've
read many posts by people saying they've removed theirs with no problem
- have not read any posts saying that they removed it and the gage reads
higher or the engine overheats or anything similar.
