I have a 2005 Chrysler 300.
We purchased this vehicle in late April 2005.
We noticed this vehicle pulls to the right, and took it to the dealer, it
would not HOLD alignment, he had to order a CAMBER bolt. Plus the front
tires are already CUPPED. This car has 4,100 miles on it.
Also, the leather on the dash bubbled up, and had to have the COMPLETE dash
replaced, the lower rocker panel
on the drivers side, also was defective, it had to be replaced. Has anyone
else who owns a 2005 --Chrysler 300 noticed their vehicle pulls to the
right??
Chrysler is replacing the tires, which is already worn.
Thanks

I know this problem has been corrected for the 2006 300's, the dealer stated
that the 2.7 liter:3.5 liter and 3.7 liter, of the 2005 vehicles have this
problem.

Loretta, TSB 02-002-05 addresses that problem. The dealer should Adjust the
alignment to the revised specs. They should also be aware of this TSB

The dealer did do alignment,,,BUT- it is sooooooooo bad
that it will NOT hold the alignment...The dealer ordered a camber bolt, to
FIX the problem. So, I take the vehicle back for the third TIME, for this
problem. Just waiting for the NEW tires to come in. Chrysler should have
notified ALL customers who purchased these vehicles, that there is a TSB
........or a RECALL.

Its not a recall and all vehicles are not affected.

Its hard to get an accurate alignment with eccentric cam bolts typically
fitted to McPherson struts because the assembly shifts when the bolt is
cinched down. In service, the cam will tend to move from its setting due
to the clearance between the face of the cam and the two raised metal ears
it butts against to affect and retain adjustment.
The mechanic can make this simple improvement: When new struts are
installed, place the cambolt in position and upset the metal ears to take
out all the clearance. With a zero clearance, a more accurate camber can
be set and once set, it cannot drift.
A better approach to a fixed alignment is a shim setup design, which is
rigid and permanent. Unless the car is rammed into curbs, the alignment
job will hold for years. There are 60's cars rolling today which have
never had anything other than the original factory alignment!

I read that in a few user reviews on Yahoo last year.
