My 99 Caravan has the brake light come on when the vehicle turns left.
Hand brake is completely off, the light comes on correctly when I ste
the brake and goes off when I release it but comes on when I turn left.
Any ideas?

Seems to me there is a switch at the bottom of the steering column.
This switch controls both the cruise control, and the rear brake
lights. I had a problem in my 1994 where the brake lights came on and
STAYED on all night - killing the battery. Adn my cruise control was
not working either.
The mechanic at my shop found the problem with this switch in about 5
minutes, and IIRC it was realively inexpensive, and took very little
time to replace. All worked fine after that.
Having said that....
the 1999 body is somewhat different. I know there is some "clock
spring" in the column which is used to multiplex electrical signals.
If THAT is your problem, then it aint cheap!
keep us posted!

Your master cylinder is low on fluid. top it off!! and while your at it have
the brakes check for wear.
