I have a 96 cirrus,2.5 v6 that has fuel pressure,just installed a new
pump,it cranks and sometime hits while cranking,when you stop cranking it
always hits but dont start,any help would be appreciated..

Maybe you should tell us why the pump was repalced.

Please define "hits" ???

 You don't offer much info on your problem but I can give you a few basics to
check. First check for a broken timing belt. Next check the basics, do you
have spark at spark plugs, injector pulse, compression, proper fuel pressure.
Is the check engine light on ??  Did you check for codes, even if the light is
NOT on ???
