Recently had the compressor of this van rebuilt,  not a different on
installed.  Also installed a new drier.  Never thot to check the rea
vents but after the rebuild, the front cooled fine.

Within 2 weeks, the fronts did not cool.  I put in a can of 134a and th
front seemed to work OK but at that point, I checked and the rear was onl
putting out warm air.  I took it back to the garage where the work was don
and the mechanic said there is a relay "on the frame" that turns on th
front fan and that it was not coming on.  Said he "jiggled" it and the fa
came on.  But he did put ANOTHER can of 134a in the system.  Forgot t
mention the warm rear air to him.

My questions are, Is there a relay "on the frame" that turns on the fron
fan?

And, why, since the rebuild, is the rear air not working?  It did wor
prior to the rebuid.

And, If the problem was the relay, why did he put in another can of 143a?

TIA,
Joh

poor guy
a new ac compressor can be bought for less than a rebuild on your current one
second if the tech did not realize there was rear a/c then he could have not added
enough of a charge to make the the whole ac work correctly hence adding some
and these vans are well known for evap. leaks
and if more is needed in the near furture then you might just have one leaking
so keep a eye on it
