Xantia running cold

During the wintertime my Xantia has a tendency to run rather "cold".
This must be the thermostat leaking to the radiator  ??

Can a "light" tap on a "strategic" position release the stuck valve ??

Unlikely... Remember also that at the moment you have the best of a
failed thermostat, you might end up giving it that 'tap' only to find
that it's now failed in the closed position... :~(
