No, it isn't. I'm not suggesting "no service history" - but it REALLY does
not matter who's serviced it - it is DEFINITELY not worth the premium for a
dealer service.

Sorry, but you will have spent FAR more on one dealer service than it will
make difference, pricewise.

It still doesn't matter.

for a /dealer/ service ? probably not, but it looks nice in the book, a complete
set of main dealer stamps looks a whole lot better *to the average joe* than a
selection of independent garages of indeterminate pedigree.

bullshit. don't generalise. you've no idea what I paid for the car, the service
(stamp + the extras) or what the vehicle is worth. not to mention the fact that
there's a whole load of main dealer history I got printed out that I wasn't
aware of when I took a punt on the car.
what price can you put on not having to grub about under a car at -2 in the
snow, in the street ? been there, done that, risen above it ;-)

yeah, ok. whatever you say. I'll just put to one side everything I've learned
over the last 20 years about car, motorbike and van buying/selling
thanks for the www.citroencarclub.org.uk tip

My Xantia Activa is just over 8 years old with 63k on the clock, i think
it has a FSH from main dealers up until I got it. I would be very lucky to
sell it for more than a grand, the most recent service would have cost 250
quid at a Citroen main dealer, my local guy down the road did it for 60
quid inc. parts...

Normal Joe publics don't buy Citroen, they buy Ford of Vauxhaul ;)

/checks/
?35 to join ? offset that against the cost of labour to get the bush pressed out
and any benefit cancels it's self out. if any members can point me towards a
recommended garage in the e.mids I'll be very grateful.

bullshit advice from people like you when I was 18

Let's put it this way...
... it's how my local Citroen specialist does several each and every
week...
Get the arm off, put it outside, get the oxy torch on it so it lights, then
leave it to burn itself out. Quick wire brush, and good as new.
