Just began driving my new 2004 Dodge Sprinter and can't seem to get the
drivers side mirror to adjust up high enough to see cars behind me.  Since
the mirror has a two point connection, the mirror housing cannot be
adjusted.  The only adjustment for height is the motor behind the mirror.
Presently, I have it adjusted completely up.  DaimlerChrysler says it's a
design issue, not covered under warrantee.  I've been able to make some
adjustments in lowering the seat to make it slightly better.  Any
suggestions??

Also, getting dirt and debris in the tail light lens because the seal
between the lens and the body is not adequate.  Again, DaimlerChrysler says
it's a desing issue, not covered under warrantee.

Sorry to hear about your problems. This is typical if D-C.

A good dealer will do what they can to help you despite DC.  Your 2nd
issue should be warranty because I do not believe the design is for it
to leak.  Again, a good dealer will resolve the issue.

The best option is to take the mirror housing apart, and reglue
the mirror to it's post at a better angle.  However, that's much easier
said than done.
Go to an auto body shop or auto glass shop and have a new mirror
made to fit over the old one.  Then glue it on to the factory mirror
with a spacer at the bottom.  A couple of large flat washers should
change the angle enough to work.  Glue the washers to the original lens.
Then, after the glue dries, glue the new lens in place.
Get a quality adhesive from the glass/body shop for this.  Don't
cheap out and use something from Ace Hardware or Home Depot.

Clear windshield silicone adhesive will last for years.  Here you
can cheap out and use a tube of stuff from Pep Boys.
