Has anyone heard of a special truck that Dodge is putting out called the
Ray Evernham special? My wife's best friends brother said he bought one.
And he just wrecked on the last snow day after only the first payment.
He claims the truck cost over $40K new. It has over $15K damage to the
whole side. I have yet to see the truck. But what truck is he talking about?

This doesn't mention nothing about the truck, so I imagine he's the new Eddy
Bower of Dodge Motor Sports.

Ray Evernham isn't the Eddie Bauer of Dodge. He's Jeff Gordon's former crew
chief & the man who brought Dodge back to NASCAR.

You talking about a .17 Rem or .17 HMR? Never shot a .17 Remington but
I've got a Savage .17HMR that is a tack driver.

Remingtom 17 HMR 597 Mag...:)
I liked my 22 597 so well, I got the first one that my shop got.
I had almost bought a Marlin lever action HMR, but I waited, and then this
Savage came in...and I almost got it...then that Remington came in...and I
was hooked.
Put one of the Winchester illuminated recticle scopes on it and dialed it
in....gonna replace the Winchester and get a BSA Sweet 17 for it, and think
that might be the ticket.

I saw one on eBay last year. The Evernham package (iirc, it was mainly a
painted interior, bezels and new seats) added about 13K to the sticker
price. The final bid was about 38K and it didn't meet the reserve.

Thanks RW. That's more info than I had. We asked the Dodge dealer but
they knew nothing about it!
