Just got back from an oil change on my Durango and noticed the dealer forgot to put the oil filter cover back. I had to go back and the technician unwillingly went to the garage and brought it out. I know it's just a stupid plastic cover but the next week I am having both differentials serviced and my confidence is shot. How often do these experts forget to put the parts back? When having work done at the dealer, I ask the service dood, if I could meet the technician working on my truck. They never have said no. I usually say something like, "This is my baby, do you understand what I'm saying?" and they usually say "Sure do mister, I'll treat her right." I rarely have a problem with the tech's. And if I do, they know and I know I'm gonna be naming names. And handing the tech a six-pack will assure that he will remember you for when you come in the next time. Find a tech you like and request him every time you come in. This is too minor to make a big deal over. Put the thing back on and get your differentials serviced. Or can you turn your pencil over and erase yours? or back space over them?. I think that he was more concerned with the technicians attitude rather than the minor error and I would be as well.
