What should I expect to pay for a 2005 quad cab 4x2 1500 with a 5.7 hemi? I
need it to tow a 3 ton trailer - can the 4.7 handle that load?

I can't help you on price, but check out
http://www-5.dodge.com/vehsuite/TowingGuide.jsp for towing capacities.

No problem with the load. The damn thing is rated at more than 6tons.
I JUST paid 24K for new 2004 4x4 quad with a moderate package including power
seats, split window, upgraded sound, tow package, and a bunch of other goodies.
Depends a lot what you want for options. Options can move the price more than 5K
in a heartbeat. The 2005's shouldn't be much more. I'd expect to paid an extra
2K-3k for a '05 as the '04 was a 'left-over'.

I got the same thing just a few hours ago. Except mine was pre-owned with
20k miles. I thought I was getting a good deal at 22k, and I didn't really
need the 4x4. Oh well, I'm happy with it! "Yea, it's got a HEMI"

Cerritos Dodge, in Cerritos, CA., is advertizing Hemi Quad cabs for 18K.
SLT's I think, but don't hold me to that. Also, I don't know if these are
new '04's or '05's.

Great deal, if you ask me.
