My '90 Dakota 3.9 AOD has a hesitation just off-idle.  Does it when
first started, but it goes away for a period when it's just starting to
warm up; then by the time it's up around normal operating temp it is
doing it again, and stays that way.
I thought perhaps by that discription someone would've had a similar
experience, possibly rather common.
Ign parts in good shape, no codes.
I don't want to just start 'hanging parts'.

i had a similar problem with my '96 dakota 3.9, hesitation or stumble when
taking off when cold. turned out to be(after much aggrevation) my foward O2
sensor. if it's(sensor) not completely bad it may not set a code but will
cause you grief
