For a short-term fix, Mothers Back to Black. For a long-term fix, Dawn
dishwashing detergent and a stiff-bristled brush.

Once they have faded, the only thing you can do is to re-dye them. Griot's
Garage makes a good plastic dye that comes in a shoe polish like applicator
that works pretty slick. www.griotsgarage.com .
Once you re-dye them, a periodic application of 303 Protectant will keep 'em
looking like new. The black trim on my '97 BR still looks like the day it
left the showroom.
