Just got this van - battery died and when reinstalling - would not crank.
Found a Carbine Al577 alarm - but havent made sense of why when jumping
the starter negative terminal - stilll will not crank!  Not sure how
starter is normally hooked up in this vehicle - or how to reset the
Carbine alarm! Any help would be greatly appreciated!  thanx,  bob

What "negative" terminal are you talking about?

Its the "starter -" labelled terminal on the Carbine alarm.  thanx,  bob

IIRC, that connection operates a relay that disables the starter so you
might want to follow the wire and see where it is going.
