1999 Dodge Durango brake lockup issue

I have a 1999 5.9 litre Dodge Durango SLT that I purchased new.  About 2
years ago...(very scary that this has been going on this long) I had brake
work done (usual pads replaced rotors trued)also replaced all 4 tires
(stock size) at a local shop.  After this work was performed my brakes will
sometimes lock up at slower speeds <25 MPH, they become VERY touchy, to the
point that when driving through a parking lot, just barely touching the
pedal can cause the brakes to lock up.

I have taken the Durango back to this shop three different times, and to
two different dodge dealerships who can find nothing wrong with the brakes.
This is absolutely NOT my imagination, does ANYONE have an idea that this
could be??  Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in
advance.  --  paul

It's not your imagination. I had the same problem on my 01 Ram. My
other half used to bitch whenever it happened and tell me I didn't know
how to drive. I told the bitch to shut up. The dealer said it was normal
although an independent shop I took the truck to said I had a bad brake
caliper.

I've just started noticing this too in my 2001 Dakota.  They don't
actually lock up, but after the truck's been sitting more than a day or
two, they're *very* touchy.  It seems to fade after I've been driving 10
minutes or so.  Not sure if I have the same problem?

Did you replace the caliper, and if so, did it fix the problem?

I got into some really bad financial problems and had to sell the
truck. (I was a police officer of 20 years and got hurt really bad on
duty and was forced into early retirement) I never got the chance to fix
the caliper.
