This is a double question:

Where is the starter located on a 96 Caravan?

How truly difficult is it to replace for your average backyard mechanic?

Any helpful ideas are always appreciated!!

front of the engine, about 1/3 of the way up the bell housing

3 15-mm-head bolts (2 on some models + a dowel pin instead of the middle
one)

plus a 13 to get the big battery cable off, and a slip-on connector for the
solenoid

a 15-minute job

as always, disconnect negative cable at battery first
