I have noticed the last few months that when my air conditioner is blowing
and i accelerate, the air quits blowing out of the vents and then returns
after i reach normal speed.  It happens on fresh air and recirculation
settings.  Has anyone got any suggestions?

First suggestion is, what vehicle is it? Sounds like a vacuum problem When
it quits blowing is it really blowing out the defrosters?

Vacuum leak.  Possibilities include the cruise control mechanism underneath
the battery (battery acid drips and erodes the vacuum line going to the
canister, causing a vacuum leak), or a leaking intake plenum gasket.  If you
remove the PCV valve, and can feel a vacuum when covering it with your thumb
(especially when revving the engine), then you have a plenum gasket leak,
and will need to remove the intake manifold to repair it.

I checked the PCV valve vacuum and there is none.  I also tried revving up
the engine and the air cond worked ok and I revved up the engine with it in
gear and still ok, but when I drive it, it does is almost immediately.  Only
for 10 seconds or so.  It's not really a big problem but just kinda
irritating and hoped it would be simple.  I am going to take out the battery
and batt holder and check the hoses.  I found the canister (I think) under
the driver side door with 3 hoses.  1 large one secured good, and 2 smaller
ones and one of the smaller ones came out of the boot easily.  I'll try and
seal it better and try again soon.
