Hi there,
I have a Dodge 1500 4 by 4 truck with a 4.7 magnum. I went for a
short trip today, and when we stopped, I smelled an oil smell. I
opened the hood and there was oil ALL OVER the DRiver's side. I got
out the trouble light when I got home, and put it in my shop. The
heads look fine, as do the valve cover gaskets. I believe this truck
COULD have an oil cooler as it does have the trailer towing package.
COuld it be an oil sending unit? Please help me. I mean there is oil
ALL OVER, and down the Drivers side of the truck. Nothing on the
passenger sids. Yes, the oil filler cap is in. ANy suggestions?
(Also leaks oil DOWN onto the ground-again- on the Drivers side only)
Please e-mail badbrad631@yahoo.ca
Please help, as I need my truck!!!

Yup. Clean it up, put some oil in it and idle it to see where it is leaking
from.
