Have 225/75R16 right now. Would it be OK to replace with 245/75R16?

Main reason is cost.  Costco only sells one type of 225 for $150/each,
while there are five 245 for as low as $100/each.

If they fit, sure, but these tires are going to be taller than your factory
ones and the spedo will be off a little.  Costco has a book that lists the
maximum tire size that will fit on your vehicle and it their book doesn't
list that size for your vehicle, they will not sell them to you.

225/75-16 = 29.3" diameter   225mm wide
245/75-16 = 30.5" diameter   245mm wide

My '01 Sport QC has 265/70-16 = 30.6" diameter and 265mm wide.   I believe this is
the stock size, but can't remember exactly.

As far as will it fit or not I have no idea untill you try.  however
costco will only install tires 3% larger in diameter which going from a
225/75 to a 245/75 is more than 3%. Not only are you going taller, but
also wider (from a 225 to a 245). Your best/safest way to go is to go
to costco and talk to a salesman, they dont work on commision, and will
give you the safest, best, and correct information. even if you dont buy
from them at least youll know what size you should get.
