I have a '98 RAM 1500 5.9L V8, and the engine hesitates when cruising at
45-50mph. It is fine under acceleration, and other speeds, but feels as
though it is misfiring at 45-50mph. It isn't though.

It has had new leads, plugs, distr,...tested by the local garage who can't
find anyything on the diagnostics.

I've used engine and injector cleaners but they don't help.

Any suggestions.

Well, then its a figment of your imagination, cause it IS, or it ISNT.

Put your right hand on the right side of your face then put your left hand
on the left side of your face and begin moving both hands up and down
vigorously.  Fuckin' dickhead!

Some people are like a Slinky.....not really good for anything, but you
still can't help but smile when you shove them down the stairs.

Bothers you that you got what you paid for in advice here I see.

Sorry about that..but you have a problem, and its one that no one can see
from here....altho, I would suspect, but since YOU didnt give near enough
information, but I would suspect that you have a T-Chain thats about to go
south on ya..

Yup....and normally those are the ones asking for free advice cause they too
brain dead to figure it out on their own.

I hate to burst your bubble, but I'm not the original poster.  I just felt
the need to point out that you're a dickhead for posting a half-assed
response like that.  If you didn't feel like answering his question or felt
not enough info was given you should've shoved 1 finger in each of your ears
to keep them occupied.

Or fuckwits who can't read a thread and figure out they have no clue who
they're responding to.

On an older engine - especially four-bangers, a part throttle
hesitation could quite often be traced to a bad (leaky diaphram) EGR
valve.

Now that that's out of my system, does it also ping when this is
happening?

What I would sugest you do is check the compression. A lot of the late
model motors have soft valves & will loose compression. It is also common
for the cat converter to plug up
