About a week or so ago,"the machine" was a topic of conversation and some
accusations among a few of us. Have you noticed what has happened since?
No more about "the machine" AND no more from DENNY!!! What do ya think???
I'm of the belief that my wide assed buddy might have taken off to the back
forty with "the machine" I can picture it now: Ol' fur face sprawled out in
a lean to hooked up to "the machine", his new AR locked and loaded in one
hand and a bottle of ripple in the other, just waiting for somebody to try
to take "the machine" away from him. Probably has Pink Floyd playing in the
background.

Yeah, I think you are right Roy. He is 'treating himself' after such a

I wished for peace between us when you claimed to be leaving the group, now
you've "come back" with my name in an insulting address line.

I see now the offer was wasted, pearls before swine, as the Bible calls it.

You made the decision to write the address in that manner, so all
responsibility is on you.

No, Tom, I'm not.

You two always spun the blame towards me for the strife between myself and
you guys and when I make a gesture of peace, one of you will pull this kind
of crap and then spin it into being my fault again.

Guess what? Now it's Google archived as to who is responsible and who
supported the insult, you.

So, now what? Do you clowns continue your attacks? Do you continue your
hatred and bigotries?

As for me, do your worst. I do want to thank you, Tom, for honing my skills
at ignoring bigoted idiots like yourself and "theguy".

That is a bit over dramatic imo.

Are you sure that "the guy" it is not a spoof? The original didn't operate
in that manner, also the verbiage is different.

No one of importance, but by replying, the insulting addy is recorded for
posterity.

Roy, have you forgotten the number of times you've told me to shut up/not
reply/ignore/etc. while letting them alone in those arguments? Why is that?
Is it my religious beliefs? my political choices? The color of my hair?

If anyone should have been quiet, it should have been you because you took

Roy, I really did not need your input on this and was going to read but
ignore any further postings from those two. May I go back to that now??? It
may have all been nothing more than T-bone using it to start an argument.
You should have left it alone, IMHO.

No Budd I have not. You have made a believer out of me, it is futility to

It is my foolish attempt to suggest to you that not get worked up and start

As should have you, my friend.  <VBG> Yes, I do consider you a friend, Roy.

You and I can and have disagreed without the name calling, etc. that tb and
tg seem to require. If we do insult the other, we can apologize without
renegging on the apology, and the other can accept it.

Now for the second part of your two part question  that I missed. Actually
that is easy. You and I go back a bit. That said, when these folks or
anybody else does anything that you feel is out of line a bit you turn it
into a friggin' war.imo. All tb said "was your kidding right?" Your reply
was friggin' nuts imo. It is what you do, overeaction, honestly at time's
you make an a.s of yourself and this is one of those times. As a friend I
was trying to nudge you away from some overaction.  I'm sure you don't like
the answer but you asked the question.

Roy,

In your opinion, I was being one of those, but in mine I was replying to a
known adversary in a manner, IMHO, far more politely than he deserved. It
boils down to a difference in opinion of oneself and one's name. I found it
insulting. I replied to that.

This is what I mean, also. You've read what they have said about my beliefs,
politics and the names used to refer to me with the use of my name as a
profanity being the latest . . .and that's ok with you?

He did, but here again, it's differing opinions or attitudes towards one's
name. Heck, maybe just the difference in how we were raised, but that's the
point of the matter. I was raised that a person's name is sacred, kinda like
God's last name is not "damn", you see. It demonstrated his lack of any kind
of respect for another person's beliefs. And that is contrary to their
claims of having tolerance toward others.

Admittedly, with tb the intention was to encourage him to go bother someone
else or just go away. I do not have any desire to converse with him on any

OTOH, and I really don't see why you don't see it, tg stated publicly that

I didn't see that in this thread. How far back in history are you going? Ya

Rhetorical questions, Roy. Read them again.

What's not real? That my name is used in a defamatory manner and admittedly
so by theguy? Try looking at it from another perspective and values set,
mine. "Great Spirit, let me not judge another until I have walked a day in
his moccasins."

I'm sorry you can't understand my viewpoint. I've tried my best but somehow
it's something you, as well as tg and tb, don't understand. All that says is
that you approve of that behavior towards others.

So be it. It's a shame the old values that made America great are being
kicked aside like trash. At one time, the Biblical values of having a good
name being better than riches meant something and to have those values
earned a person respect.

I will keep those values. If you don't have the respect for yourself to
defend your name, then that's your choice. You, nor anyone else, do not have
the authority or right to tell me I should not or cannot defend my name
because your values about the matter differ from mine.

Hey, are you saying you are an "April Fool's Day" birth? You lucky son of a

Rehtorical and inflamatory it opened the door. You knew, as did most here

<LOL> Roy,  tg admitted he used the name derogatorally in reference to
anything that frustrated him. That's called "confession".

No, but the saying fits. Don't judge another unless you have lived as he
does. That's how I know what the difference between political issues really
are, for exam[ple, I used to be a Liberal until I woke up to reality.

What it says is that you don't see my side of it, can't see it or won't see
it. Only you know the true reason.

I don't remember who he is and he won't remind me. We may have been friends
at one time, but I don't know since I don't remember who he was. Now, it no
longer matters because of his decision to denegrate my name without remorse.

I would rather be friends, but I will not bend my values to suit anyone AND
I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO. I ask no one to bend theirs, just accept me as I am and
I will accept them.

But there lies the rub. You and I can agree to disagree and not get into
name calling, etc., they cannot.

In your opinion. Using a person's name in a derogatory matter and ADMITTING

Oh, gee, can I do that? waitaminit . . .THAT'S WHAT THE HECK I'M DOING!!!!!!
but only I see it that way. you, tg, and tb see me as the bad guy for doing
what each of you have done yourselves.

And I keep telling you and others that I have my set of values, based on the
Bible, that require me to reply to things that, apparently, you and other
consider trivial.

You see things from a completely different perspective, a different set of
values and when you tell me that I shouldn't "over-react" you're telling me
to follow YOUR values, and not my own.

I see the point your attempting to make, Roy, and I appreciate the effort,
but there is a difference: there is no scripture charging me to ensure a
good "birthday". I truth my friend, you would have to spend some time as
fundamental Christian conservative to understand. And what would be the
chances of that? <VBG> The phrase, "snowflake in Hell" comes to mind.

And this is the first time I've ever had my name publicy announced as being
used as a curse or profanity.

Roy, I couldn't find what the issue Budd was upset about either, at first. I
use OE as my newsgroup reader and I click on what I want to read and it
comes into the window below.  That is where I read it.  I saw nothing
unusually wrong.

It wasn't till I double clicked and saw the whole "From" address of theguy

And he admitted to using my name as a reference to anything frustrating.
According to the way I was raised, my beliefs, that is an insult, even since
it is a nickname.

It's odd that tb can get mad and make some really serious threats if someone
uses his name at all because of how, according to hi, his name was
denigrated in some groups, but I'm to ignore the insult to my name.

If you are going to keep bringing my name up, at least get it right.  My
name was not denigrated, it was being used in other groups by that a.shole
checkmate.  That is a big difference from the very minor joke that theguy

maddened, or felt belittiled by checkmate's activities with your name, THEN
YOU TOO WERE OFFENDED, TOM. You just haven't been taught that's what you

I am not talking about that Budd.  What I'm talking about is you constant
stream of BS about how your were raised to be an a.shole.  I doubt very much
that your mother brought you up this way and yes Budd, you are an a.shole
and even your friends think you are acting that way anymore.  The only thing
really stopping them from flat out saying it to you is that unlike you, they
actually care about another's (your) feelings and know that it really is a
waste of time saying anything to you since you only see what you want to
see, regardless of the number of others saying something different.  You can

LOL, are you really this stupid?  Being offended has nothing to do with it.
The lowlife POS hi-jacked my name and went around pretending to be me, that
is until he got caught.  Now only a complete idiot would not do something to
prevent that from happening again.  Are you an idiot Budd?  Perhaps your
life in public and the work field is over but mine isn't and I don't need
crap like that comming back to bite me, especially when it wasn't me who did
it.  If someone steals your credit card number and you find out, do you just

Get a life dudd.  Many people have distorted my handle such as shadetree and
Redfag calling me boner.  You you see me throwing a hissy fit over it like
you are here?  No you don't because unlike you, I'm not a crybaby desperate
for any attention, either good or bad.  I don't get mad at crap like that
because TBone is not my real name, just like Budd is not yours.

> BTW, Tom, tg didn't ask permission to use my name outside this goup either.

The funny thing Budd is that it is NOT your real name and he doesn't need
to.  It is a nickname and MANY people have the very same one AND that name
is also used to address someone who's real name is not known.  You have NO
ownership of the name Budd but if he included your last name as well, then
you would have something to possibly bitch about but this just shows how
desperate for attention.   You really are proving yourself to be a friggen
crybaby.

No Budd, you admitted that in your statement above.  You have made it clear

you really are the idiot that you accused me of calling you.

I have figured it out, Tom, and if you acted towards checkmate like you have

I'm not as likely to treat someone else in a manner that might cause them to
take such a revenge on me.

If I discussed it with them or even replied to their post, I didn't ignore
them, I chose to go my own way. Even by continuing with this useless
discussion with you, you cannot claim I'm ignoring you. I'm just not taking
your advice nor accepting your insistence that my values are wrong.

No, that the dirty secret of liberalism, evolution and communism. By their
standards, you are an animal, only an animal, and therefore worth no more

cvannot consider yourself or anyone else to have worth.

And again you called me an idiot, so there is no accusation, only statement

You need a remedial comprehention course as I know what you meant and was
saying that it simply wasn't true.  Not only did I not imply that Roy or
anyone else said those things, I flat out said that they didn't.  Care to
try and spin it again?

You can accuse me of whatever you want to, it really doesn't matter.  The
truth Budd, is that you need someone to hate and have choosen me.  As for a
discussion, more complete BS.  While you may respond to such posts, you
discuss nothing, only make attempts to justify what you do and take no
advice from anyone, friend or not.

How can I discuss them when all you are doing is spinning.  I asked a simple
question and you have yet to answer it.  Hell, even Roy asked it a few times
and all you did was spin.

Hahaha, you are kidding, right?  The fact that you state that you're not
politically correct shows that on average, you treat people worse than I do.

I never made any claimed on your values, only that your actions were
unjustified.  If you always go your own way (and you always do) then it is
no different than ignoring them.  Even Roy made the statement that he will
no longer attempt to say anything to you because he knows that it is a
complete waste of time.

More complete BS.  What does evolution or even liberalism have to do with
worth.  Evolution simply states how we came to be and has nothing to do with
worth.  Even a liberal in the worst case simply says that all people have
the same worth, not that they are all worthless.

IOW, you would have a brain.  I can see how that might scare you since then
you would have to face up to how you act.

Then I guess that you have just said that you cannot see the difference
