Hello all,
What is the box that the antenna plugs into on the passenger side kick
panel? It even has wires going to the radio.

Likely an FM-band RX amplifier (like the ones people use on their TV
antennas) in an attempt to cover up a lousy in-dash FM receiver, or its
the RF portion of the key-less entry/alarm system.

There is no such box on a stock vehicle. The only thing behind the kick
panel is a M-F antenna connection, where the wire from the external antenna
couples with the antenna wire coming from the radio.
It sounds like the previous owner installed an FM modulator, for use with an
iPod, satellite radio, etc.

It's a Ford part, throw it away, you don't need it.
