Got a new '06 QC 4X4 with CTD on the way. Should have it later this
week. Need to install a Draw Tite brake control when I get the truck.
Is the wiring already there under the dash? Any adapters required? Any
info/advice would be appreciated. Looking forward to hauling with this
puppy.

the wiring comes with the truck, you may need to have an adapter, i dont
recall if my 05 came with it or not. my wifes liberty did but i didnt need
one as my controller was already in a dodge. if your truck doesnt come with
one of the adapters then they are readily availiable at just about any
trailer supply place where you can buy the controlers. i bought mine from
northern tool and equipment http://www.northerntool.com/ for my 99 witch i
bought used and didnt have the adapter for. this adapter plugs into a
connection block under the driverside dash and has to be wired to your
controller but thats not a huge deal.  you may also have to install a fuse
in the underhood fuse block. there again i dont recall 100% but seems to me
like i had to.

hope this is some help.

Real trucks don't need spark plugs

And, while we're on this subject. Anyone here know of a good electronic
brake control? I have two that are close to worthless. One in my 92 W250 and
one in my 04 2500. Both are Tekonsha's. The old "tap into the line" Kelsey
Hays units worked a lot better. Too bad they don't work with anti-lock
brakes. One of my trailers has surge brakes. I love them and they are
outlawing them:(

here's the one i use. works well enough for me.

there are cheaper and more expensinve options, i see the price on my
controller had raised a little since i bought it a few years ago. but it
doesnt look extreemly out of reason. they also have some other options from
people like TAP & Hopkins.

Funny you should write about two worthless Tekonsha's. The one in my
old truck quit working at the end of last season (camping that is). I
went out last week and bought a new solid state DrawTite unit and then
went and bought an '06 Ram CTD to go with it (big friggin grin). Pick
the truck up at 11 am tomorrow, then it's road trip time on Friday
(without the trailer - just for the fun of it)
