I need to replace the one (non-OEM) in the truck. Is there a supply of OEM
or repro cables out there somewhere? Thanks.

"OEM" was an automatic choke using a manifold mounted heat well and
thermostat spring, not a cable.

Now you know why the cable wasn't OEM.

If the crossover gets too hot to touch in less than 5 minutes from stone
cold, fix the OEM automatic choke. If it doesn't, the crossover is plugged
up.
