If your truck is equipped with the LSA, the build sheet will indicate that.
If the build sheet doesn't mention a LSA, then you do not have it.

Thanks Mike,
I don't see anything about LSA on the build sheet so I guess that means I
don't need the special additive.

All you need to do is test the rear. Block the front wheels, jack one of
the rear wheels off of the ground, put the vehicle in neutral, and try and
turn the rear wheel that you jacked up. If it turns easily along with the
driveshaft, then it is an open rear. If it will not turn or turns with
extreme force, then you have a limited slip. If it turns with only some
difficulty, then it is a somewhat worn limited slip. Open rears do not need
the additive.

Thanks,
I thought I remembered that was how you did it, but it has been
quite awhile since I've messed with one that might have a locking
rear end so thought I better check.

One more question, how much grease and what do you recommend?
I tow a 3500 LB, 17 ft trailer, once in awhile. The rest of the time I drive
it
20 miles a day, back and forth to work.
TIA,
Tom

What exactly do you mean by grease?

Guess I should have said Gear oil instead of grease.
Gear Oil: 75W90 Synthetic or Gear Oil: 75W140 Synthetic
I know it needs to be GL5 specs, but don't know how much to buy.
Thanks for the reply.

That information should be listed under capacities in your owner's
manual.
