I have the 2.7 V-6 'base model'. The only gripe I have is the speed
control stalk, I keep reaching for it instaed of the turn signal. It
really is a remarkable car!

i am ansering frum a fren's computer, but I wanted to say, that WHY on
heaven's earth would you buy a car like that, with a puny, dorky engine like
the 2.7.  HUH?  What were you thinking, OR, were you thinking??. I, think
NOT.  Why didn't you just get a Neon?  And you ain't got no RT  anyway.  You
dig?

An R/T does not have a 2.7. If you have ever driven a mercedes, you
would be used to the controls. You should not read reviews and just
drive the car. If you have the R/T you have a HEMI

I'm hopefully gonna be rest driving this weekend, so i will have my
own review and won't really have to rely on reading them like you say.
I can't wait to get in one of these and see how it feels.

I bought an R/T at the end of October. I'm very happy with it, but
still getting used to being in a car again; I had a Tahoe for 5 years.

Acceleration is great, but I'm trying to break the engine in correctly,
so I haven't opened it up all the way yet.  Braking is good, the Brake
Assist is noticable, and kicks in about 3/4 of the way  to the floor.
The ride is smooth, but I think the shocks are average; I will probably
upgrade them in a year or so. Rear visibility is a little pinched
because the body  lines really rise up in the rear, but it's not too
bad. The fit and finish is good; feels like some Mercedes has rubbed
off on the Magnum. It's very quiet for a V8. Seats 4 adults very
comfortably.

My biggest dislike is the foward rake of the headrests... they adjust
up and down, but  are at a fixed angle, one that is more suited for
drivers who recline their seat a fair amount (not me). I'll have to
have 'em modified at a body shop. But this is my biggest gripe (so
far); I'm really digging this car, and I'm constantly getting comments
and questions about it - - I feel like I'm become a Dodge salesman.
People are stopping in crosswalks to ask me about the car...  it's
great fot the ego!

If your biggest issue is the headrests, I'd say you got a pretty good
deal.  I finally got the chance to test drive one and thought a lot of
the same stuff you already said.  It looked more like a Mercedes in
person than I expected, and I (being 6'3") fit in it great.  The space
was really nice and it seemed to ride very smooth.  I'd love to hear
how it is for you as time goes on and you open it up a little.
