I have almost 107,000 miles on my Stratus and it still has the original
drive belts for the AC/Alt, PS and cams. I checked the service manual and it
does not state when to replace them, only when inspection indicates it is
necessary. The manual does recommend replacement of the timing
belt on the 2.0/2.4 I-4s at 105,000, but not on the 2.5L V6. I have been
checking mine
once a month and they still look good.
Does anyone know how long the drive belts will last?
On most cars it seems the water pump is done by 100,000 miles. Since mine is
driven by the timing belt I plan to replace both when either is worn out.
Does anyone know how long the water pump last?
When I bought the car it had 32,000 miles on it, and so far this has been
the most trouble free and lowest maintenance car I have owned.
TIA

It wont be if you dont get the timing belt replaced, One yr Chrysler was
recommending it at 60k then it went to 105k. I would do it now!!! and
replace the water pump with it along with the drive belts
