noise through radio?

does anyone know if this is caused by a bad alternator?
when my car is running and i rev the motor i hear the revving through the
radio.  thanks

Bad alternator or diode therein is a good candidate. Other possibility is
ignition noise from old cables.

or bad grounding.  it could be that your speakers are the radio's source of
grounding.

it's a 1998 dodge avenger and said it happens more once the car warms up
