Does anyone know what caused this, if it's fixable, and appr. how much
to repair if repairable?  My sister bought the Dodge Neon highline brand
new in 1994 when it first came out.
We are so upset. She really has been taking care of the car all these
years.  Lately she hasn't been maintaining it like she normally should
have and she hates herself for it.
Here is her website with photos of her cute Neon:

common and well known issue with 1st. generation Neons.

BTW, the Neon 1st. year was 95 and was marketed under both Dodge and Plymouth branding but your daughter may have purchased the car in late 94 when they first hit the market.

Unless she got the engine HOT their is nothing she could have done to
prevent this problem. THE headgasket is most likley leaking Requiring
replacement of the headgasket ... You need to have it checked
DON"T be tempted to put magic cures in the radiator They will only cause
further problems
