I've got a friend down at work whose radiator fluid doesn't get hot
and the over- heating light goes on. The problem is the radiator fluid
should get hot after driving it around and they're worried its not
circulating thru the system. The pump has been replaced and the
thermastat.

Could have air in the system. Remove the top radiator hose at the engine and
using a water hose and a rag as a seal froce water into the system. It
should only take a short time but you should see a large amount of air come
though the radiator.
