Wondering if anyone has run into this problem: I have a 99 Plymouth Voyager
& when I make left turns the break light come on and stays on for a few
minutes or until I make a right turn (It appears as though the emergency
break is on - that's the break light I'm talking about). It doesn't go off
by hitting the breaks after it comes on when I make a left... Thanks in
advance for any assistance. Randy

Check brake fluid level

I thought of the break fluid levels also. They are good. Thanks.

I'm wide open to any other ideas.

The brake fluid level switch has been known to be "squirelly".

That's a highly technical term.
Also known as FUBAR.

Maybe I'm "squirrely", but isn't there a switch that shows that the
parking brake is activated (pedal depressed) and that might be out of
adjustment?

there is - easy to check that one though.

According to the Chrysler manual, the only things that will turn on the
brake light are: the parking brake, the brake fluid level switch, and the
ignition during crank. Here's the page:

I would start by unplugging the fluid level switch and then drive it to see
if your problem goes away. Then move onto the parking brake switch. If those
to simple tests do not change your symptom it sounds like a wiring problem
that needs to be looked at further.
Good luck
Bryan

if you are willing to part with some cash I will gladdly figure it out for
you. ;>p

Bryan,

Thanks, I'll give it a try.
