So, what'd everyone get this year?

My three favourites...

1. A beautiful torque wrench!
2. "The Lost Painting: The Quest for a Caravaggio Masterpiece" (I read
it all in one sitting)
3. A bottle of Johnnie Blue (that's no longer full)

We know Matt got chaps, what about the rest of you?

Some of the funnier gifts included a 24oz can of Milwaukee's Best Ice
and a Miller High Life shirt (I get so much flack for defending that stuff),
plus several instant lottery scratch-offs which we won about $40.00 from.

I was thrilled to receive a complete set of air tools.

..and my lovely wife bought me a season pass to Mid-Ohio. Now I can
go see the AMA Superbike races, vintage bike races, ALMS, etc...

I won't go into the gifts we got where it was painfully obvious our
relatives
had made sure they spent less than $10.00 on us...

Let's just say they cleaned out the dollar bin at the
gas station... Stuff like Advil, lock de-icer, car air
freshener...

Norris you may be only seconds away from death.

Mine came a little late.

Seeing my mother tonight at the hospital after she'd had two cancerous
tumours removed.
She smiled and I held her hand.

There will be tests to follow and we'll see...

Hey buddy -

I hope and pray for the best for your mum!!  My roommate's mom was
diagnosed with ALS - not a good Xmas present at all.  Times aren't
always good to us.

Hey buddy!

Where there's a smile from Mom there's always hope.

Stay strong, and have a drink on me.

Hey Paulo..

Just seen this. (Don't know if this Google business works or not. )

Hope things are going well.

We have a similar situation with a very close relative to Gill, so
empathise.

Time is precious.

Excellent to hear that she is home and feeling a bit better. Does she
have a cat? Cats always make me feel better. Just be sure to keep that
mutant hare of yours away from her. The poor woman has been thru
enough.

He's a BUNNY, not a hare.

...admitedly a rather LARGE bunny, but a bunny nonetheless.

Hey Paul,

Just read this. I'm glad to see that she's better, and hope she's going
to fully recover now. You both have all my sympathy and best wishes for
a healthy year 2006.
