OT, for laughs (aka Stupid Mike Tricks)

This wasn't one of my best weeks.  Kind of slipped into Angry Mike mode,
tried to stay away from the public.  But yesterday, I felt OK enough to
get out of bed, clean myself up, and cut my hair.  I do it myself with
clippers, usually the old No. 1 - short and tight.

So I go out, run some errands, and start realizing that Angry Mike has
not left the building yet.  Guy cuts in front me, no directional -
finger.  He then brakes and turns right into a shopping center, still no
directional - long horn, double finger.  Follow him into shopping center
and give his rear view mirror the fullest extent of my Suburban's grille.

So I know I need to get home asap.  I go to the local gorcery store to
get a couple money orders.  While waiting in line, I can feel a presence
in back, too close for me.  I turn around, and there's this 17 or
18-year old kid standing like an inch from my back, looking weird.  I
say "You better back the f.ck up or I'll flatten you."  He backs up,
still with the goofy look.

I go home.  The first time that my roommate has the opportunity to be
behind me he busts up into crazy laughter.  I'm like "What the hell?"
He says "Go look in the mirror", laughing hard.  I do.  And I find that
somehow I had missed a pouffy, curly little ball of hair at the rear
crown area, complete with 3/4 inch tail.  If there was a way I could
have melted into the floor, I would have.  At least 20 people had seen
that view while I was out.

This is where the SWA commercial says "Wanna get away?"

What else could I do but laugh?  I fixed the problem and into the
toilet, along with the offending hair of course, went my bad mood.

If you can see Chuck Norris, he can see you. If you can't see Chuck
Norris you may be only seconds away from death.

The kid from the store was probably thinking "f.ck! them Buddhists ain't
the same 'round these parts!"

(did you like the 'round these parts' bit? -very authentic, I thought. I
was rather tempted to add a 'yeee-haw!' or two, but I think that's more
'Southern States' than Arizona)

I think your basic "yeee-haw" is better suited to Tennessee, Georgia,
some parts of 'Nawlins, and maybe a little bit o' Texas.  Around here, I
basically hear the same type of melting pot crap (now there's some
double entendre if you just add an appropriate "of" in there) that I
heard in California, with a heavier and heavier south-of-the-border
accent every f.cking day.  And that is as far as I'll go on that one!!

:-)

Happy Mike!  Yes I am!

Get. Over. It.

Or at least shut up about it in public already.

Public?  I thought we're just a small pub with a few people in it.

I said that was as far as I would go.  But you can have the last word,
so take a shot if you like.

Good to see that you're feeling like your usual self!
