Embarrassing, but then, when haven't I been known to embarrass myself?
It's one of those things everybody loves about me.

I can't wait to see how this turns out.  Maybe it won't be ready until
Pebble.  Maybe it'll suck.  I doubt it.  In fact, there doesn't seem to
be any way it could.

Of course, I'm *still* not done with the whole thread.  More personal
embarrassment could still lay ahead.

Mr. G.  0846.  That beautiful blood red P3/4 and the great story
surrounding it.  The myth, the legend, the weirdness, etc.

Damn FC.  The more I look into this kind of stuff the more there is to
look into.  It can really be a pain to *want* to be more than an
enthusiast about something, to want to know more - only to find out that
there's always more than more ....  maybe I should stay away from FC.

Anybody referring any of my past/present verbal diarrhea on this subject
over to FC for extra ridicule better have also sent shots of the empty
plate from my piece of crow pie.  They ain't too high and mighty fer a
little street fightin', neither.

<Final shutdown sequence initiated.  Good night.>

There's, like, one unstressed frame tube that can claim to be
original, and maybe a dash gauge?

Oh please...  Right next to the Enzo rebody thread there's one started
by some tit who never got laid until he bought a 512TR, and now he's
so proud of himself about pulling Hooters waitresses.

Well, I hardly knew anything about the guy, or the story behind the car,
until a couple hours ago, so I'm not an expert now, BUT ... in several
articles I read he sure makes it sound like he felt he had nearly 80% of
the original parts.  Nobody else seems willing to stand up and support
that.  The Ferrari representative's final letter to him was certainly
depressing.

I'm anxious to not only see the finished product, but any subsequent
plans for it, just for grins of course.

It is what it is, as the saying goes, and what it is can't be 0846,
which the factory says was scrapped.

As one who loves the Enzo, but wishes it had been styled by Italians
familiar with the PininFarina/Ferrari lexicon:  The 612 P5/6 has me on
tenterhooks.
