Signor Emanuel Ravelli - 02 Jun 2006 03:55 GMT Hi,
I'm researching the story/history/provenance of this lovely car, and I wonder if anyone here can add to the wonderfully colorful history of its birth and journey?
Here or "24961 @ earthlink . com"
Thanks, Mark

(Hi Mark!)
Signor Emanuel Ravelli - 02 Jun 2006 12:38 GMT >> Hi, >> [quoted text clipped - 8 lines] > >Did you buy it? Do tell... No, a friend did.
Unique car, spectacular condition.
Bert Kanters - 02 Jun 2006 21:48 GMT You can get a username and password at www.owners.ferrari.com if you supply copies of documents. Then you can apply for a sort of heritage thing.
"The Owners' Site gives you the opportunity of obtaining a Heritage Certificate for the car you own in pdf format. Just fill in the form with the details required and send in your request. After carrying out the necessary checks, Ferrari will release the form that certifies the conformity of the chassis and engine number of the car. Heritage Certificates are available for all carburettor models produced up until 1980. In a few isolated instances it may not be possible to check all the relevant information, and in such cases Ferrari is unable to provide the certificate."
> Hi, > [quoted text clipped - 6 lines] > Thanks, > Mark Signor Emanuel Ravelli - 03 Jun 2006 04:23 GMT Thank you.
I'm leaving that to the owner for now, it must be fun.
In a day or two I'll ask Ferrari for a researcher's login.
Thanks, Mark

A H Morley - - 05 Jun 2006 00:40 GMT > take your spam elsewhere, including that hideous bastardised 308.. > ...proves that money cannot buy you class nor taste. costello may be interested though... unfortunately the a$$hole is skint.

is about the nearest costello will ever get to a Ferrari... (oh sorry loser, you can't even afford the replica..lol)
Strangely our resident loser keeps reciting Pink Floyd lyrics... I can just see Mason giving a 'suspect' like him a lift in one of his collection..of ( a real one).
People like costello are nothing more than a drain on their respective countries resources. I'd gas them all...
Eskalith - 06 Jun 2006 05:05 GMT Come and gas me, motherf..ker! I am begging you. They will never find your body. There are scorpions, centipedes, millipedes and all kinds of weird beetles that would probably enjoy your sun-roasted flesh (after all the alcohol burns off, that is).

A request for information.
The car is no longer for sale having recently been purchased.
It's not my website, I merely have no photos of my own, yet...
I am assisting the new owner in further researching the car's provenance, which already is considerable: I thought I'd spare him the odium of dealing with usenet's legions of knuckle walking mouth breathers.
> including that hideous bastardised 308.. You wish your Deawoo was in such good shape.
>...proves that money cannot buy you class nor taste. So, you *didn't* recognize the '78 Ferrari F1-team's livery?
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my request but, clearly, you have nothing to contribute.
Eskalith - 06 Jun 2006 05:03 GMT Mikal! Welcome back, you great brown sucking a.shole of the earth! See you couldn't make it to Arizona. Too bad, my girlfriend and I just broke up so I could have really put some oomph behind my punches.

Great news that the bitch actually saw what little sense she was initally born with and dumped another halfwit loser. She really is worth more that crap like you, even if she is just AIDS ridden.
'oomph behind my punches' -old man talk- [ arm muscle reacted a little did it? - you've obviously taking up w.nking again ] You don't stand a chance, grow old gracefully and give up, before I push my extended arm down your throat.
Eskalith - 13 Jun 2006 05:18 GMT Let's go, motherf..ker. I've been waiting here. The more you insult people that I know, the more I want to leave your body on top of a local mesa, maybe Skull Valley.
Pussy f.cking liar. You wouldn't follow up on your bullshit if I *could* send you money. Shut the f.ck up.

Luigi Topolino - 17 Jun 2006 01:40 GMT >Drop dead costello, no one wants you , you are scum , just do us all a >favour, just die and leave our planet ...I'd, personally, like to do a few leisurely Patron shooters with him under the clear black Arizona sky.

Eskalith - 17 Jun 2006 05:07 GMT I've got a job, you f.cking putz. One can still work in this country and receive benefits. But I'm sure the awesome medical coverage you receive, from the pub whose stool you piss yourself on every morning as the barkeep is trying to toss your fat a.s out, is far superior to what we here in the States get.
I'm scum? I guess you're enjoying our little exchanges, and that's all your doing, because you sure as hell don't back up your bullshit.

"Custom 308s" aren't terribly unique. Special orders were very common, a few of them came through the shop from time to time. I will say tho' that this car seems in exceptional condition. I hope the new owner uses it more than the previous one did. 21k miles in 18 years? 308s need to be driven!
The paperwork's interesting. "Export Not Taxable"? "Used car"?? The July date on the invoice is spot on for the build date of a car with that s/n, so other than test miles the car wasn't "used". As the car's also priced below the 1978 MSRP all of it could just be a tax dodge and a bit of a price discount as a favor for a company employee.
Anyone, it looks a great car. I hope it's enjoyed!

>>I will say tho' that this car seems in exceptional condition. > > Feels like brand new. You seldom pay too much for a great 308, but you sure can spend too little on a bad one. Well cared for and properly maintained examples are a joy. Those who bargain shop usually end their Ferrari experience with their first purchase. Tho' "fully priced" at the advertised amount, if this car is what it seems to be, its still a solid value.

Maybe it was the "Accounting Experimental Department". "He Luigi, let's see if we can slip a new car to a friend and cheat two tax men in the process!"
>>Anyone, it looks a great car. I hope it's enjoyed! > > If it would stop raining here! Thankfully it's finally stopped raining in SoCal. We went from low 70s to 100s in about a week. That's all I needed to break out the car yesterday. Other than being "a bit warm" while driving the car always makes me smile.
Now, if my S4 only had the reliability of my 308 I'd be truly happy.

Likewise anything 'merkan and don't even get me started on the Japanese!
Hmm, maybe time for an RS4. No lease there but bags of fun!

red_avenger@europe.com - 22 Jul 2006 11:59 GMT Did you know that sometimes, when you know about a piece of equipment that someone has owned, (say an 'Icom PCR-1000', for example), you can find them?
I'm not sure what use that would be. I guess if someone has been offensive in a few newsgroups, then putting information about that person in those newsgroups might just lead to an unexpected knock at the door one day. Who knows?
More tips soon!
