yes, it's metallic. i gather it's been engineered to look good on tv.
it looks very different in person.
the 1996-2006 cars (the schumi era) did have much more orange in it due
to marlboro's request for greater branding as tobacco restrictions
increased. i still think the best color was on the 1995 cars, they were
a true red!

Is the current color available as a factory color, or is it strictly for
the F1 cars. I mean, I know that one could probably special-order it,
but is it a standard color in the catalog, and if so, any idea what it
might be called?
Yes, I preferred the old Rosso Corsa myself.
