I would think that is NOT happening.  Unless Fiat goes under, and even then,
I can't imagine Ferrari/Maserati now could not survive as an independent
company again.  I can't imagine Luca is schafing under Fiat rule, as he
appears to get to do whatever he wants, but I'm sure he would not like being
under the thumb of a German monolith - there isn't that much they can offer
that Ferrari isn't already able to do itself.

They a make everything look bloated and overinflated, while adding
2-300 kilos of sausagey German goodness to everything...

"sausagey German goodness"? Does this apply to all my Mercedes? Or to
Helga, the beautiful maiden [I think] next door? Or to my Blaupunkt
400kw diesel toothbrush? Excellent phraseology there.

Kiss off.  Nobody here cares about "all your Mercedes".  Helga could be a
man, for all you know.  And nobody cares, or even should know, about your
toothbrush.

Time for dinner, CCF.  Sauerbraten, I'm sure.

I'm pretty sure the OP alluded to that himself.

I rather thought he got and took my point well...

Did you (the collective "you") know the Audi S4 strains the scales at
3,864lbs?  ...That just one tall girl short of two EFFING tons in a
car of sporting yet practical pretensions which won't even hold one
tall girl... (OK: scrunched up dead across the back seat, maybe.)

A BMW M5 porks in at 3,995lbs, but it will indeed hold _two_ tall
women, provided no one is sitting behind them  (except the C&D
patented "Thalidomide babies").

(Figures from C&D.)

My friend Pam makes a Sauerbraten you would die for.  She's about all
of 98lbs, drenched in Doppel Boch, and with her pockets full of rocks.
...We tried once.

I think I rented that video at Blockbuster last week.  It was kinky.

And yet it was driven to win the World Challenge GT Championship twice.

What surprises me about that is that they couldn't wait to get out of it and
into the RS6.

4,229 brat snarfing lbs at curb...  That's Cadillac SUV poundage!

New cars to sell. They struggled with it this season, but still managed to win
the championship. Would have been a different story if McClure hadn't been
taken out of the race at Road America and kept out at Laguna on doctor's
orders. Wonder what will happen next year. If BMW keeps whining and takes their
dishes and doilies and goes home... Audi or Corvette? I'd say the championship
goes to McClure in the Vette. He's gonna want it bad next year.

"World Challenge GT"?
TigerRace1 - 13 Nov 2003 01:47 GMT
<<"World Challenge GT"?>>

SCCA Pro Racing Speed World Challenge GT Championship. The best sprint road
racing to be found in North America and some of the best in the world.

You shouldn't have included the link...

Showroom Stock Pro with weight penalties for being successful?  ...How
socialistically advertising neutral.

I don't hide what I do and wouldn't do it if I were ashamed of it. I just don't
tend to advertise it in the NG.

<<Showroom Stock Pro with weight penalties for being successful?  ...How

Yes, I'm sure that's why Ford, GM, Audi, BMW, Nissan, Acura and Honda are all
heavily involved. Nothing to gain there. Oh, no. Must be why Speed Channel is
the title sponsor too. They just have money to burn.

Lucky for us.
