Greetings, I am beginning to have interest in Ferrari racing in Le
Mans.  Can somebody enlighten me as to which year was the first 24
hours Le Mans  won by a Ferrari team and how successful they were.
thanks

1949 was the first year, Luigi Chinetti driving the Barchetta.  Here is a
great link that gives some good historical Le Mans info.

You need to learn how to use a search engine, my friend.  This stuff is all
at your fingertips.  Google found this for me in about three seconds.  All I
typed in was "Le Mans"+"Ferrari"+"history".

Not ripping you, just a little enlightenment.  It takes more time from your
quest when you have to ask other people to do stuff for you that you can
easily do yourself!

Oh; and they were quite successful that year; they won.

(Mike was being far too gracious...)
