The manfall was incredible this race, only 7 finished in teh end, is this a
sign of things to come? It was nice to see 3 different teams on podium
though (godd for Ferrari to as noone runs away with constructors). Looks
like hamilton will be the man to beat this season though.

I've attended a few Melbourne GP's (though thankfully not this year!), and
there always seems to be a high attrition rate for some reason. Maybe it's
just because it's the first GP of the year and a few things break :).
Compounding this this year, of course, was the very high track and ambient
temperatures. Believe me, it was stinking hot in Melbourne on race day :)

Hard to remember a time when both Ferraris had engine issues like this
(France 1996 maybe). Also felt bad for Seabass, he was having a great
start to his F1 career. Maybe that McLaren/Microsoft ECU has a special
"Ferrari Engine destruct" function built in.
