Yeah .... it's going to be riding a little low on the horizon for us left
coasters, unfortunately, but I'll still be able to see it.  The last one was
actually kind of cool.  Don't have a telescope, though ... if I did it would
probably be pointed at my neighbors.

After your address and phone number, that's probably something you
don't want in the Google archives either...

...Do you know who John Ashcroft is, and what he's up to?

Yes I do, and in fact he'd probably want to recruit me after reading that
statement.  My neighbors are all drug dealers, gang members, illegal
immigrants, pet abandoners and other such pond scum.  I would be a great
informant.

Hey, there! How do you rank illegal immigrants as low as pet abandoners? My
grandfather always took excellent care of his dogs and cats.

At this point in time, I actually rank *current* illegal immigrants the
absolute lowest.  And unfortunately, the four loser-classes I listed are all
intertwined around here.

C'mon - the neighborhood you live in is very nice, but all around you is the
same creeping sh.t I'm surrounded by - you know it's true.  A friend of mine
lived off the 10 at Barranca for a few years - those apartment complexes you
could see right off the freeway.  They were HELL.  Three blocks up the
street - million dollar homes.

This state is going to hell, slowly but surely, unless you're rich.  And I
am DEFINITELY not saying that to point at you, it's just the facts.  There's
the coastal belt, and the foothill belt.  In between is nothing but sh.t,
immigrants, and overpopulation.

Yes, DAMN those people trying to improve their lives! If I want fresh veggies,
I'll pick them myself!

Something like that?

The people living in *HELL* are the ones cleaning those million dollar homes.
Maybe if they were paid better, they could live somewhere nicer.

I am entirely unsure why you point the finger at immigrants. If you think lower
income housing sux in the US, you should see it in Mexico. This country was
conquered and founded by immigrants. If you want to slam the doors now, then
you may want to throw a sheet over the Green Lady loitering in NY's waters.
Maybe ship her back to France since so many whiny Americans don't like them now
anyway.

I guess I just don't see what you see.  I'm not going to argue with you on
this one.  I just know that it's very hard for me to walk outside and feel
warm and giving.  Mexico could use a LOT of help right now, like maybe these
people should go back there and get their own government to recognize their
problems.  I know what it's like in most of the cities and villages in Baja.
I've never been to mainland Mexico.
