I don't like the air intake ducts that were added ...

I have pics from what it used to look like if anybody wants to see, LMK.

As long as you realize that it's a kit car, I suppose I don't need to rub it
in. <eg>

I don't, but I'm immune to your thrusts on this one.

Think - rapier.  And we're not talking about a sex crime, pal.  I've
seen the end of her blade so many times she probably knows my blood type.

I just don't think it's a kit car.  Call it a butchered Ferrari, call it
a transplanted Frankenstein, I don't care.  It's not a kit.  It started
life as a Ferrari, an extremely high percentage of the mechanicals,
including the basic engine, is Ferrari, ETC.  Simply my opinion.  I do
like to joust with her, though, so this is not a nasty matter at all.

Yeah, I knew what you were getting at, MC.  Sorry for the poke, I jus
tcouldn't help it.  'Swhat I get for volunteering for a 22 hour shift (gotta
love them health-care jobs!).  I'm on your side with this one, it's not a
kit, just a one-of-a-kind Ferrari.

And with that, folks, I'm off to bed.  G'night!

It would be greatly improved if it *were* a kit car.

...Blasphemy, pure evil.

I don't understand, MJ - please, without resorting to a spluttering
rage, please explain to me why I am so far off base on this ... I need
to know so I can quell what you all apparently feel is a growing sickness.

I mean, Fieroarris are kit cars.  Lamarossas:

http://www.blert.net/ai/4.html

are abominations, to be sure.  But this car is basically a chopped up
and reconstituted Ferrari, in my mind.  I don't get the hate ... let's
all feel love for this effort.  At least it can kick some goddamn a.s on
the street, and it will sound like a Ferrari, AFAIC ...

I fear this may push him beyond that stage.

Recognising your illness is the first step ;-)

Exactly, and for what purpose?  And while any chump can work a
SawZall, not every chimp can make a Ferrari.

Would you be so sanguine if the "artist" applied his same "talents" to
Botticelli's Venus, wildly slicing it apart and patching it together,
attempting to duplicate the Mona Lisa?

..."I'm going to start with Meatballs - The Movie, and, by tacking
this piece of crap here, and that dusty turd there...  Et voila:
Apocalypse Now, Sort Of".

Who knows?  If it's built with all the care that went into
conceptualizing it, it may last all of 15seconds.

...And if street racing Z-28s was the plan, good riddance.

While uncommon, 288s are hardly hen's tooth rare; and for the quoted
costs of this abomination a nice one could be had; why butcher a 308
and a 328 to make something never as good?  (A Porsche 930 gearbox?)

Mike, you are perfectly free to think it's cool, or nifty, or
whatever; but by posting a link to it here you invite comment, and
should expect derision.

It is an abomination, every bit as execrable as a Fierorrari or
Lamboguinea...  but worse even:  It pretends to Ferrari design and
engineering, and it's really just the work of old Cleetus and his gang
of wrench monkeys.

I'll never post a link to that car again.  I stand chastised.
