I'm running into trouble getting companies to write insurance on the Viper,
a high performance vehicle.   I'm certain Ferraris must be in the same
group.

Who do you recommend for insurance?

Where do you live?

AAA stepped up to bat (for a price) today.   Got it covered.

Northern California, but I got insurance today.   Just took a bit extra
effort, and a bit extra money.  Ended up with AAA.

Thanks very much

May not be the car, may be your driving record or credit report.

A Viper should be far easier to insure than most Ferrari's, along the
same lines as a Vette.  You may want to try some of the specialty
firms like Haggerty, if you can provide them with proof it's not an
everyday driver and that it will be garaged.

It was a combination of having to carry 300/600/100 on my work car
(Mercedes) with a corporate additional loss payee, the Viper, a small
($751.00 payout) accident I had in 2002,  and a misunderstanding between the
Hartford and me.  I will NEVER insure with the Hartford again.   AAA stepped
up to bat, and I understand that if I bundled other insurances, State Farm
would take the Viper as part of a package.     I didn't get to Haggerty, but
a couple of Viper owners also made that suggestion.

Thanks for the help.
