2004 auction will have over 370 lots. Probably one of the best yet,
with great examples of early sales literature: a 1937 Atalanta, 1907
Clement Bayard, 1904 Crestmobile, Porsche 550 Spyder, and many more.
Of course, as always, a good collection of books, race programs and
autographed items by a few racing greats. Some of the best
photographers are represented, such as J.H. Lartigue, G. Monkhouse,
T.C March and J. Alexander. Artists from every part of the world who
have been influenced by the automobile from the beginning of last
century to date, have samples of their work in this sale. There are
paintings, posters and prints illustrating the best marques, events
and personalities in the field, such as a large Francesco Scianna oil
on board of an Ecurie Ecosse D-Type battling with a Factory Testa
Rossa through an Italian town. This most noted artist of the late 20th
century's work is estimated at $9,000 to $12,000. One of the rarest
Monaco G.P. posters, a 1932 by Falcucci, in impeccable condition, is
for sale estimated at $9,000-$11,000. The Monaco 1933 and 1936 by Geo
Ham, the master of automobile posters, are also being auctioned. A
very rare collection of over 50 original Coach Builder's name plates
from every country is offered from Figoni & Falaschi to Reuter,
Zagato, Murphy, Le Baron and much more. Followed by some enamel badges
and bronze medals, stop watches and trophies. What about a Michael
Schumacher racing suit from the G.P. of San Marino in 2003, the
weekend Michael lost his Mother and won the race talking about focus,
but broke down on the podium. No champagne that day. The estimate is
$12,000-$18,000. So many great items: Ferrari Formula 1 wings, a
Bugatti radiator, Stanley Wanlass sculptures, a Ford GT40 gas-powered
children's race car originally built in the late 1960's for the "24
Minutes of Le Mans" (a children's race organized in the infield during
the famous 24 hour event), a one-off scratchbuilt model of a 330 P4 by
longtime Ferrari model builder from France Joel Fumey, etc… If you
