For those of you that don't know, my recent "bigotted" posts (egged on
by some of you no less) where meant to be needling, twisted, ironic
funny, rants and do not reflect my honest opinions on cultural,
religous or ethnic backgrounds.

I was lucky enough to be born and to live in an area where there is
quite possibly a representation of every different race, religion and
culture from throughout the planet.  My best friends are a diverse
crowd representing many different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

So please relax and take most of what I say lightly.  All of you here
have a sick sense of humor in some way shape or form.  And don't deny
it, any group of people that can carry on multiple threads about hat
f.cking has just a sick sense of humor as I do

Nevertheless, Clinton is still an idiot who was concerned more about
his sexual accomplishments than about preparing the United States for
the challenges it was about to face.  And yes, Bubba and his shoot
first attitude is no better.

Now what the freek is a tosser (and do't tell me it's a w.nker, what
the hec is a w.nker anyway)?

I believe the precise definition would be somebody who masturbates,
along with all the loose connotations, etc. that come with it.

I think you're a pretty fine dude, Phil - I was just commenting on the
"lighter" nature of the comments brought to bear regarding your remarks,
whereas I have been excoriated for my views.  But I acknowledge that my
views have been quite virulent - and my presentation of them dead
serious.  That's where I guess the line was drawn.

I do think this world is sinking into a morass of selfishness,
arrogance, greed, and all the other sh.t that goes with it.  We are a
weak and pathetic species with little hope for long-term survival.
Perhaps that's how it was meant to be all along.  But in the interest of
maintaining some interesting and rewarding acquaintances, I'll be
endeavoring to keep my more inflammatory opinions about the ongoing
invasion of my own country to myself.

And FTR, the reason that I don't let such comments fly-by, even when they come
from someone that I know isn't truly a hateful person, is that other people can
hear such comments and think that their own hateful attitudes are being
mirrored back to them. A racist *joke* can be heard as condoning racism. When
no one contradicts that, then a racist can believe that the whole room shares
his ugly views. I speak up to make sure that those people hear at least one
dissenting voice and so that the people who are afraid to speak up do also.

And none of us wants anyone to hear an off hand remark from you and have them
come to the wrong conclusion.

I heartily disagree.

No, Bush is far, far worse.

A tosser is a w.nker. British for *j.rk off*.

Don't you Google?

You are certainly a dissenting voice.  I bow to your rabidity.

Not within my family or with the people that I choose to spend time with. I
don't have racist friends.

<<I bow to your rabidity.>>

Don't be bitter, Mikey. It's not attractive.

I'm sorry it sounded that way - I wasn't being bitter.  I guess I was
just comparing the relative "ferocity" with which we upheld our
viewpoints.  I am trying to change *my* viewpoints - because of things
I've mentioned to you already - but I'm afraid getting out of town will
probably end up being the best inducement to the change process.

I have noticed that my racism recedes almost completely when I am 100%
boshed on malted or fermented beverages.  I have commenced studies to
determine if that is any way to go through the remainder of my miserable
life (except when driving, of course).  Reports from the field will be
forthcoming.

Ummmm, hmmmm.

<feeling the urge to reply>

<fighting it, fighting it>

You know I luv you....let's talk about cars some more.

Here's some new info.  The cooling problem is solved on the 308 btw, I
had Ron Davis fabricate me an aluminum radiator.  I hacked off the
stock Spall fans, fabricated some new brackets, and squeezed new 12"
Spalls in front of the new radiator.  The fans sound like the car
really wants to take off now.  I still need to add a 5" puller fan to
the oil cooler, that's in progress.

But with the car now being 20 years old, I think it is time to change
all the suspension bushings, and in fact, even pull the Koni's and
install new shocks and springs.  Anyone take this on before?

Phil
