That's a bold statement. What do you base it on? Specs? Race performance? Gut
response?

Depends on what you mean by fast. Since the 333 SP is a race car made
to race in the IMSA series I assume you mean fast in a road race.
The 333 SP didn't do terribly well in IMSA, especially as the years went
by and Ferrari didn't develop the car that much.
I suppose it was the fastest car in the "Victory by Design: Ferrari"
show, until they updated the show with a small segment on the new Enzo.
But the Enzo, though fast, is a street car and who knows which would
win in a race.
The 333 SP came out in 1993/4, and in 1993 other IMSA cars (like the GTP
Nissans and the Porsche 962s) and Formula One cars were far faster than
a 333 SP. And of course Formula One cars are much faster today than in
1993.
The 333 SP saw minor improvements over the years, and had some success,
especially early on.
The fastest cars that anyone has produced so far are the current group
of Formula One cars.

<<The 333 SP didn't do terribly well in IMSA>>
You don't consider winning the Driver's and Manufacturer's Championships in
1995 to be doing *terribly well*? Ferrari was 2nd in the Manufacturer's
Championship from 1996-1997 and won again in 1998.
<<The 333 SP saw minor improvements over the years, and had some success,

Really? Here are some other quick race facts about the 333SP:
- Fastest qualifying times and set fastest race laps at Sebring from 1995-1998.
- Won Sebring overall in 1995, 97 and 98.
- Qualified 2nd at Le Mans in 1996 and set fastest race lap.
- Won LMP class at Le Mans in 1998.
- 2nd at Daytona 24 Hrs in 1996 and 97 and won overall in 1998.
The 333s won a great many races over the years and of the Big Three of sports
car racing (Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans), the race win at La Sarthe is the
only one to elude the Ferrari.

What, are you trying to say that todays Ferrari F1 cars are competitive?
Where could you ahve gotten that idea from? ;) I mean, there's actually one
race they DIDN'T win this year *coughinigoblowscough*

The next time you feel the need to pull nonsense out of your a.s,
could you look for my car keys?
