I'm looking at a 1981 308 GTSi.  22k miles, looks to be in mint condition.
About $29k.

Anything special I should know about? This would be my first.

Thanks

Save up for a Quattrovalvole.

FORZA had a pretty decent buyers guide early on, it may still be
available.

IIRC the US version of the GTSi is underpowered - this is probably why the
thing is as inexpensive as it seems. You might be better hunting down a QV.

Oooh, look!  It's one of those mightier-than-thou Ferrari Chat guys
surfacing out of the sacred mist to tout for his homies!  What's the
matter - you guys running out of newbies to bore to death with
discussions of gear ratios, headlight specs, Borrani wheel restoration
compounds, and which little old man in Italy does the best leather
restitching?

JUST KIDDING!!

I MEAN IT!!

Tech27, Ferrari Chat is an excellent resource for the hard-core Ferrari
gearhead, and they generally treat newcomers very well (not me, of
course, though I do have a protector or two there).

I think you know what generally goes on here.  But we LOVE Ferraris just
as much as those I-eat-my-dinner-off-my-garage-floor guys at FC (and a
few of us know just as much as they doo, too!)
